Job Description Summary GE Vernova Financial Services is recruiting two seasoned investment professionals to lead country-level origination and development investment activity across Europe. These roles will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and advancing energy infrastructure projects with a clear mandate to position GE Vernova technologies as preferred equipment solutions. Each role will own a defined set of European markets and be accountable for building investment pipelines, forming and managing joint ventures and development partnerships, acquiring mid to-late-stage development projects, driving commercialisation (securing offtake, structuring costs, and financing), and ultimately exiting either single assets or platform portfolios to strategic or infrastructure investors. This is a front-line leadership role requiring market relationships, commercial creativity, regulatory fluency, structured and project finance depth, and a personal track record of having delivered and financed complex infrastructure transactions—with the conviction and discipline to apply those lessons to the current market environment. This role also requires strong capability to manage and grow high performance teams and leveraging the capabilities of the team members to maximize organizational impact. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Country-Level Origination & Strategy In alignment with GE Vernova’s industrial strategies, develop and execute country-specific strategies to originate investable projects in onshore wind, battery storage, grid infrastructure, transitional thermal assets and SMRs in the future Identify and structure joint ventures, development partnerships, and/or acquisitions of mid-to-late stage development assets Co-manage JVs and Partnership assets with Development Leader Track regulatory and market dynamics to identify auction timelines, capacity needs, or new incentive mechanisms Establish strong relationships with developers, utilities, offtakers, structured and project finance lenders (commercial banks, DFIs, credit funds, etc.), and government agencies across assigned countries Positioning GE Vernova Equipment to Win Lead commercial engagement with partners to position GE Vernova equipment in originated or acquired projects Negotiate equipment supply frameworks, including through LCOE comparisons, performance guarantees, or long-term supply MOUs Collaborate with GE Vernova commercial teams to align technical and commercial bid strategies Act as internal voice of sponsor/customer to inform GE Vernova’s go-to-market product positioning and delivery capabilities Investment Execution & Governance Build investment cases and lead internal approvals through the Investment Approval Process (IAP) Structure investments to ensure commercial, technical, legal, and financial robustness Partner closely with Financial Services risk, technical, legal, and finance teams through diligence and execution Ensure project investments are compliant with internal mandates and external investor parameters (aka, the strike zones) Commercialisation & Project Finance Secure offtake via PPAs, CfDs, or capacity mechanisms; prepare projects for auction participation Guide permitting, interconnection, and market access milestones to bankability Structure project finance packages and work with lenders and co-investors to reach financial close Exit Strategy & Value Realisation Develop and execute dual-track exit plans: Single-asset exits to financial or strategic investors Platform-level exits involving portfolio or JV equity sales Support preparation of data rooms, sell-side diligence, and investor engagement Work with Financial Services CRO’s Asset Management and Valuations teams to optimise exit timing and returns Leadership and Team Building Build, lead, and retain a high-performance, cross-functional team leveraging them to maximize the impact on the organization Set a strong cultural tone based on accountability, collaboration, and excellence Act as a mentor and people developer Represent the firm internally and externally with credibility and integrity Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Finance, Sales, Economics or related field, or equivalent knowledge/experience. This role requires extensive expertise/experience in infrastructure or energy development investment, project finance, asset management, risk and/or related field.
