Job overview
We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated, registered pharmacist to join our Cancer Services Pharmacy Team operating across the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital. This is a full‑time role for 1 WTE (plus on‑call commitment). This is a new post working in a team within a very busy Cancer Services department.
The Cancer Services Pharmacy team provides an expert support service to the clinical teams. Reporting to the Pharmacist Team Lead for Cancer Services you will work closely with a multi‑disciplinary team covering medicines management and chemotherapy outsourcing. Previous experience of oncology and haematology is not essential as training and support will be given, although a sound working knowledge of aseptics will be a definite advantage. This is a great opportunity for you to play a key role in developing a growing function at SATH. There is plenty of scope for you to develop your expertise and management skills in this post. You should be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively, work proactively under pressure and prioritise your own workload to meet challenging deadlines.
You must be a UK Registered Pharmacist to apply for this post. Applicants without this essential requirement should not apply and will not be shortlisted for interview.
