As a Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on-call cover for Cygnet Hospital Hexham, a 27-bed mental health facility for women with complex mental health needs. The hospital is built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment.
Main duties of the job
The RMO covers on-call shifts between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and 9am to 9am on weekends. The typical rota is 4 days on / 3 days off each week.

Candidate requirements
* Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualification
* Excellent clinical decision-making skills, sound judgment, risk management, and knowing when to seek help
* Preferably experience in Psychiatry
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong communication skills for interviewing, assessing, treating patients, and documenting medical notes
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
