We are looking for a detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking to ensure a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and a strong understanding of industrial painting processes.
Responsibilities
* Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.
* Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.
* Scrape and sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
* Fill cracks, dents, or other imperfections with appropriate filling material.
* Mask and protect areas that should not be painted.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Assist painters by preparing paints, cleaning brushes and rollers, and organizing supplies.
* Store paint supplies properly to ensure they remain in good condition.
* Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of injury and property damage.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of different surface preparation techniques.
* Ability to use sanding, masking, and priming tools effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control.
* Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
* Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 1:30pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Thursday and from 11am to 5pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
