About the Role
If you're an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer looking to build your career within a well-established UK business, join a respected manufacturer in the Hampshire area. You'll be part of an established design engineering team, gaining hands‑on exposure to develop complex systems including concept and development design, requirement analysis and implementation and installation.
You need to be passionate about developing innovative products in a fast‑moving team environment, be an excellent communicator and committed to producing quality designs. This role is on site 5 days per week and is paying an annual salary of £32,000.
Responsibilities
* Developing mechanisms and housings for various electro‑optical systems
* Collaborating with the product design and engineering teams on product discovery
* Managing and maintaining up‑to‑date CAD files, assemblies and technical drawings
* Fault‑finding and problem‑solving design issues
* Develop complex systems including requirement analysis
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* A graduate or someone with 1‑2 years’ design experience
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
* Confident and effective communication skills
* Numerate, computer literate and highly detail‑focused
* Positive, proactive and forward‑thinking mindset
* Strong time‑management and organisational skills
* Optical Design, FEA, FDA experience would be beneficial
* Eligible for UK security clearance (due to the nature of the business)
