Lead Children and Young Person's Nurse (CYP) Leicester Nuffield Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full time Up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

The Role You will be an integral part of decision making by working closely with the Nuffield Health Group Lead Nurse and Hospital Senior Management Team and by building lasting and effective relationships with our Consultant partners. At Nuffield Health, you will discover nursing as it should be - with more time to care and get to know the children who are your patients as you help them through difficult times. As Lead for the Children and Young Person's service Play a vital role in the child's journey through the hospital. Be a trusted guide and support to them as well as to their parents or guardians. Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team. Work with a wide variety of cases which will broaden your skills. You will also work within different specialist areas. Be accountable for the operational and clinical management of the CYP service Lead and manage a team of specialist nurses to deliver a bespoke service for our patients Promote innovation within the service to be responsive to service user needs.

Leicester Hospital Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme. The Hospital has been rated as a 'Good' hospital by the CQC and achieved this rating across the 5 key lines of enquiry across all departments inspected.

The Person To succeed as a Children and Young Person's Nurse you will;
8. Be NMC qualified and have extensive post registration experience in a children's ward setting
9. Have various levels of post-registration experience - and ideally, ILS or ALS skills or willingness to undertake further study.
10. Experience in Children's nursing with Adult nursing as an advantage
11. Experience of clinical leadership is an advantage
12. Can work well individually and as part of a team
13. Can engage and build relationships with external stakeholders
