Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Passive Fire Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailed fire compartmentaion and passive fire surveys. Experience of invasive surveys is an advantage, and experience and accreditation to FIRAS standards. This is an exciting new area within the business and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and manage their own fire survey team. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in managing fire surveys and a team is essential.
Experience in knowledge of the materials and levels of fire resistance required in various building types is required. The successful candidate will be required to provide cost effective solutions to the repair of compartmentation and passive fire defects.
Responsibilities
* Conduct surveys using advanced software and technology.
* Prepare detailed reports based on survey data.
* Collaborate with clients, fire risk assessors and building managers to ensure accurate project specifications.
* Analyse survey data to determine property risks and priority of defects and solutions.
* Maintain accurate records of all surveys conducted and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
* Provide expert advice on appropriate solutions following surveys to ensure building fire safety compliance.
* Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and techniques.
Qualifications
* A degree in Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
* Proven experience as a Surveyor /Manager or in a similar role is advantageous.
* Proficiency in using surveying software and Apps.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
