Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in their own home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and promoting a positive living environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
Assist residents with living independently in their own home.
Personal Care Activities such as washing and dressing.
Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities to enhance their independence.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve care practices.
Uphold the dignity and respect of all residents while fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere within the care home.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
A valid driving licence & Vehicle is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
