Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team in providing enriching experiences for residents in our assisted living and care home facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, particularly in environments catering to individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's. This role is essential in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents through engaging activities tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and oversee a diverse range of activities that promote resident engagement and well-being.
* Assess the interests and needs of residents to create personalised activity plans.
* Coordinate with staff, families, and volunteers to facilitate successful events and programmes.
* Ensure all activities are safe and appropriate for residents, considering their physical and cognitive abilities.
* Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
* Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages social interaction among residents.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather input.
Experience
* Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* A background in senior care, particularly with dementia or Alzheimer's care, is highly desirable.
* Proven caregiving skills that demonstrate compassion and understanding towards elderly individuals.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £19,536.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Nottingham NG16 3GS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
* Activities Co-Ordinator: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (preferred)
