A leading independent foodservice wholesaler with a strong regional presence is seeking a very experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. Operating from a newly expanded distribution depot, the business supplies an extensive range of chilled, frozen, ambient, and non-food products to a diverse customer base including pubs, restaurants, hotels, schools, and coffee shops. Role
As an Area Sales Manager covering the Oxford/Oxfordshire area you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of a mixture of Higher Education and independent customers while actively identifying new business opportunities across the region. You'll work closely with chefs, business owners, and procurement teams to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure outstanding customer service. This is a field-based role that requires a proactive and results-driven approach, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to build lasting relationships in a fast-paced and competitive market.
Person
The ideal candidate will currently be working in the field for a foodservice wholesaler, with a strong understanding of selling food or non-food items into the Higher Education industry, aswell as restaurants, hotels and café's. A proven track record in managing and growing customer accounts is essential
Due to the nature of the role, we will only consider candidates with strong experience in foodservice wholesale selling into Higher Education/HORECA, as we need someone who can make an immediate impact and contribute from day one.
