School Receptionist and Administrator
Surrey | Term Time + 3 Weeks | 40 Hours per Week
FTE £30,737 | Actual Salary approx. £27,500
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and personable Receptionist / Administrator to join a new specialist school. This role will be central to creating a welcoming, professional and well-organised front office while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
As the first point of contact for pupils, families, staff and visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring the school operates efficiently and maintains a positive, supportive environment.
The Role
Managing the reception area and providing a professional front-of-house service
Handling incoming calls, emails and general enquiries
Supporting the leadership team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Maintaining pupil records, attendance data and school management systems
Preparing and distributing communications such as newsletters and notices
Managing stationery and office resources
Coordinating meetings, events and parent communications
Supporting first aid provision and maintaining health and safety records
About You
Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner
Comfortable working in a busy environment and able to prioritise effectively
Good IT skills, ideally including Google Workspace or similar systems
Experience in a customer-facing or administrative role (education experience helpful but not essential)
An interest in supporting young people and working within an education setting
