Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer with a strong background in Government Digital Service (GDS) delivery standards to support a major public-sector programme. The ideal candidate will have proven experience designing intuitive, accessible user journeys and a solid understanding of service design principles. AI experience is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver user-centred services aligned with GDS standards across discovery, alpha, beta, or live phases. Create intuitive, accessible user journeys using the GDS Design System and GDS prototyping kit. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including User Researchers, Product Managers, Content Designers, and Developers. Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Rapidly prototype and iterate designs based on user research insights. Present design decisions confidently to senior stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience working to GDS standards in public-sector projects. Strong capability with the GDS Design System and prototyping tools. Expertise in designing accessible, user-focused services. Excellent collaboration and communication skills within Agile teams. Solid understanding of accessibility principles and standards. Nice to Have Experience with HTML/CSS prototyping. Previous experience in Agile delivery environments.
