About The Role
This is a full‑time post based within the Amber Valley, Bolsover and NE Derbyshire Area Team. The office base for the candidate can be either Ilkeston or Chesterfield.
Working with minimal supervision, the successful candidate will engage and motivate young people, adhere to intervention programmes, manage administrative and IT tasks, and work to deadlines.
What will you be doing?
* Provide a high‑quality social work service that supports children to reach their potential.
* Complete detailed assessments of young people's and families' circumstances and deliver intervention to prevent re‑offending.
* Effectively manage a caseload of young people to achieve best outcomes.
* Collaborate with individuals and agencies, build and maintain relationships, identify needs, and develop plans that meet those needs.
What skills and experience do you need?
* BA (Honours) in Social Work and current Social Work England registration.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person‑centred approach to building rapport with children and families.
* Ability to reflect on own practice and develop flexible, thoughtful social work practice that facilitates positive change.
* Experience of relationship‑focused social work.
