About the Role
As a Shift Leader, you will lead by example, mentor the team, and ensure each guest leaves happy and eager to return. You will create an atmosphere that feels like a laid‑back Caribbean beach bar, fostering memorable moments and smooth operations.
* Live the Turtle Bay DNA: embody our values, bring the rhythm of the Caribbean to life, and create a welcoming, supportive space for both the team and guests.
* Lead and develop your team: conduct upbeat pre‑shift briefs, coach and motivate, and support ongoing development to help team members grow in confidence, knowledge, and performance.
* Create memorable guest experiences: greet guests with care, respond to feedback professionally, and set the tone for service that is full of warmth, personality, and positive energy.
* Deliver operational excellence: run smooth, well‑organised shifts, manage team focus, maintain a clean and safe environment, ensure tills are accurate, and keep everyone informed.
* Drive financial success: support the restaurant’s financial goals by managing labour costs, reducing waste, and ensuring efficient and effective service. Build awareness and shared accountability around key decisions.
* Work together as one team: collaborate with the floor, bar, kitchen, and management to create a cohesive, high‑performing shift.
