Bob & Berts is a growing hospitality brand with a strong community focus and ambitious plans for continued expansion. With 29 stores across Northern Ireland, England, and Scotland, we're now looking for a Management Accountant to play a key role in driving our next stage of growth.
The Role:
* Liaise with the external Accounts Team and assist the Financial Controller in the production and analysis of monthly management accounts packs. Including Store level P&L trend analysis and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
* Use analytic tools to regularly report key financial and commercial metrics to support business decisions. A key part of this role will be comfortably engaging with all levels of staff from Store Managers to Operations Managers and other Head Office departments and discussing how using financial information they can improve performance.
* To own and maintain the master data of the Company's Purchasing/Stock & Sales systems
* Key member of any future finance project teams, assisting in the implementation of new systems or process improvements.
The Person:
* A qualified accountant or significant industry experience. Some retail or hospitality experience would be beneficial to understand the business operations and have additional insight into the challenges and opportunities.
* Personality is key for this role, you need to be a confident communicator, comfortable explaining financial information to non-finance staff at all levels in the organisation
* An organised self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
* Happy with an informal environment, where change is the norm and everything moves quickly.
* Previous experience of Sage Line 50 and/or other finance systems is desirable.
* Strong use of Office365 suite including advanced use of Excel e.g. Pivot tables, advanced functions and formulas.
