This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys creating clear processes, building supplier relationships, and supporting teams to deliver compliant, sustainable, and high-quality products.
Key responsibilities
Product Compliance, Sustainability & Standards
* Manage all aspects of product compliance across multiple categories and regions, ensuring adherence to UK, EU, and international regulations.
* Embed B Corp principles into product specifications, sourcing criteria, testing protocols, and supplier requirements, ensuring sustainability is built into each stage of the product lifecycle.
* Maintain and update the company compliance manual, policies, and testing requirements.
* Monitor and interpret changes in sustainability legislation and product compliance standards across all relevant markets, translating them into actionable updates for the product development process.
* Ensure all suppliers are informed of and meet technical, compliance, and sustainability specifications.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Sustainability Data
* Oversee the testing process from sample stage through to bulk production, ensuring products meet required safety, performance, and environmental standards.
* Oversee sustainability data collection and maintain accurate technical records to support compliance audits, certification renewals, and B Corp impact assessments.
Supplier, Team & Cross-Functional Support
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure technical files, certifications, and labelling meet requirements.
* Lead supplier engagement to verify sustainable material sourcing, ethical production practices, and environmental impact reduction initiatives.
* Provide training and guidance to the Product, Design, and Garment Technology teams on compliance, sustainability, and ethical sourcing processes.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure sustainability-related product claims (e.g., recycled content, carbon footprint) are accurate, substantiated, and compliant.
Process Management & Continuous Improvement
* Maintain the product critical path for compliance, sustainability, and technical milestones.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible to relevant teams.
* Champion continuous improvement in product sustainability performance, identifying opportunities for reduced environmental footprint, improved recyclability, and enhanced supply chain transparency.
Skills & experience
* Proven experience in a compliance or technical management role within fashion, textiles, or consumer products.
* In-depth knowledge of UK/EU/international compliance standards, product safety regulations, and testing protocols.
* Understanding of sustainability legislation, environmental standards, and relevant certifications, ideally within a B Corp or purpose-led organisation.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
* Experience managing suppliers and external testing houses.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
* Knowledge of sustainable and ethical product standards is essential (not just desirable).
The practical details
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
* This role is based in Chiswick, West London.
