* To fulfil all Statutory and Professional Duties of a registered pharmacist
* To abide by the PSNI code of ethics, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations
* To ensure that all dispensing errors are logged in accordance with the company's procedures and to undertake any activity necessary to rectify or prevent errors
* Ensure that the branch is open for trading and dispensing of prescriptions during the registered opening hours
* Ensure that a pharmacist is on the premises at all times throughout their contracted working hours, to provide pharmacy services
* To dispense prescription medicines to patients, checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely labelled and supplied.
* To supervise the safe preparations of any medicines
* To liaise with doctors about prescriptions to ensure accuracy and prevent risk
* To arrange safe delivery of prescription medications to patients who are unable to attend the pharmacy.
* To keep and maintain a register of controlled drugs for legal purposes.
* Ensure confidentiality of information concerning customers and staff in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
* Retain confidentiality of company policies and figure statistics.
* Attend and/or complete all courses/ meetings as required by the company
* Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently in accordance with company policy and ensure that this policy is known and used in the pharmacy
* To keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses for continuing professional development
* Complete the requisite amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as laid down by the PSNI
* Ensure that all staff follow Health & Safety procedures in the branch. Record and report all accidents
* Report any Health and Safety Concerns to General Manager
* Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all paperwork
* Act promptly upon all memos issued by the company and ensure that branch e-mail is checked on a daily basis
* Give prompt attention to and action all directives from Head Office
* Ensure that team work is encouraged between staff members
