Graduate M&E Building Services Engineer – 2026 – London

Working as part of our Mechanical, Electrical, & Public Health (MEP) team, potentially working in defence, data centres, external markets and commercial sectors, we are now looking for enthusiastic Graduate Building Services Engineers to join our 2026 development programme and help us shape the future with purpose and innovation.
What you'll do:
1. Prepare with the team sub-contract packages and equipment packages for tender pricing, including compliance with all standards, energy, BREEAM, LEED and Fire
2. Liaise and work with the Procurement teams to ensure best commercial value is achieved on the packages you are responsible for
3. Be part of the management team which oversees the systems required to bring a building to life, ensuring efficiencies with the design, installation & the working life cycle of the systems. For example: electrical packages such as renewable technologies, lighting, power, distribution boards or transformers; mechanical packages such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning or drainage
4. Create detailed construction programs and monitor the quality and site progress of the sub-contractors employed by Skanska to carry out the installation
5. Promote the site safety and environmental culture, ensure that all works can be carried out in a controlled and safe manner, in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and company health, safety, environmental and quality standards
6. Implement digital technologies which enable Skanska to be efficient in the working methods that are implemented throughout the life cycle of the project, such as CAD (computer aided system) and BIM (building information modelling) software
7. Form part of the contract resilience becoming the expert or facilitator where required, on key tasks and issues
8. Play an active role in the development of our practices ensuring efficiencies are being met to assist in work winning
9. Play a key role in the mobilisation and bidding of new works
What you'll bring to the role:
10. Studying towards (in your final year) or having completed a degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or associated B-Eng/C-Eng
