Our client is a well-established and highly reputable law firm based in Shrewsbury, known for delivering exceptional service across a broad range of private client matters. With a supportive culture, strong professional development opportunities, and a commitment to excellence, the firm is now seeking an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to join its growing Private Client team.
As a Senior Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting fee-earners on a varied caseload of private client matters, including:
* Wills & probate
* Estate administration
* Lasting Powers of Attorney
* Trusts and tax work
* Court of Protection matters
You’ll be responsible for efficient file management, preparing legal documents, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
* Provide high-level administrative and legal support to fee-earners
* Draft correspondence, legal forms, and supporting documents
* Maintain electronic and paper files in compliance with SRA requirements
* Manage client communication with sensitivity and discretion
* Conduct legal research and prepare information as required
* Coordinate meetings, diary management, and billing support
* Assist with onboarding new clients and matter opening procedures
* Legal/Law degree aspiring to become a solicitor
* 1+ years experience in a law firm OR experienced legal team assistant
* Be local to Shropshire, able to travel to Shrewsbury or live in Shrewsbury
* Strong drafting, research & organisational skills
