Graduate/Trainee Technologist (Belfast) – June/July 2026 Start Date. Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Salary: £28,000 – £31,000.
What You’ll Experience
* Software Engineering – design, build, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks. Work on scalable, secure applications that deliver real value to users.
* Test / QA Engineering – develop skills in automated and manual testing; embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.
* Data & AI – explore how data and AI can transform services, including building data pipelines and applying machine learning and generative AI to solve real-world problems.
* Low Code – use low-code platforms to rapidly deliver business solutions, balancing speed with maintainability and integration best practices.
* Platforms – gain experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and automation to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and performant.

Minimum (essential) Requirements
* Currently studying towards, or have obtained, at least a Level 6 bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
* Familiarity with at least one programming language
* Understanding of the software development lifecycle from studies or experience
* Ability to make effective decisions with team support in a fast-paced environment
* Strong team skills and ability to take direction from others
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
* Demonstrated willingness to learn generative technologies (e.g., Generative AI tools) to drive innovation or deliver impact
Desirable
* Exposure to cloud platforms, test automation, or data tools
* Experience on academic or personal projects that demonstrate curiosity and initiative
Things To Know Before Applying
Working Arrangements: You will work in your contracted office for 5 days per week during the 8-week AI-First Technologist Academy. Afterward, hybrid work is possible in agreement with your People Manager, with attendance at office or client sites as required.
Travel expectations: Some projects require travel. If travel is required, we will minimise it and provide sufficient notice.
