Are you committed to improving outcomes for children and families?
Do you bring the leadership, expertise, and determination needed to support and empower young people to reach their full potential?
If so, Birmingham Children’s Trust is looking for a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the team.
At Birmingham Children’s Trust, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and support to children and families across the city. Our aim is to ensure every child can grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. We are a progressive organisation, focused on continuous improvement, strong practice, and positive outcomes.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. You will lead on complex cases, undertake assessments, develop and review care plans, and provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
You will work collaboratively with families, carers, and a wide range of professionals. Our approach is integrated and partnership-led, and you will build effective working relationships with colleagues across services and external agencies, including police, health, education, and the voluntary sector.
We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting.
This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
