About the Opportunity
Our Intelligent Engineering Solutions Business is recruiting for adaptable, forward-thinking Senior Process Engineers to join our process engineering capability in support of an increasing portfolio of projects. Our projects cover the full project lifecycle from small feasibility studies to commissioning on major projects and frameworks and everything in between. We deliver first-class designs as part of multidiscipline teams across our diverse portfolio of projects covering topics such as:
* advanced modular reactors
* nuclear decommissioning
* defence
* fusion technology
* green hydrogen
* chemicals
To meet our desire to support the clean energy transition alongside the needs of our clients to develop solutions in sometimes challenging environments, we utilise our knowledge and experience built across our history in diverse sectors, particularly in highly regulated industries such as nuclear and chemicals.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading process design development for our projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver process designs, including process engineering activities, safety assessments, and participation in HAZOPs and design reviews.
Responsibilities will include;
* Providing functional input to projects, including leading the input of other engineers to ensure delivery meets scope, time, cost, and quality.
* Ensuring that work complies with all corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements and procedures to maintain quality and consistency.
* Carrying out engineering calculations and reviewing the work of junior staff to ensure quality.
* Proactively generating value-adding options for clients.
* Planning and prioritising work to meet deadlines.
* Providing support and guidance to junior staff to develop their skills and team capability.
* Carrying out commissioning activities at client sites as required for successful handover.
Here's What You'll Need:
* Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
* Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional body (e.g., IChemE) - preferred.
* Experience working in highly regulated environments is advantageous.
