Community Support Worker - Wake & Watch – Preston Adult Disability Short Breaks – Part time
Join Lancashire County Council to support adults with disabilities in the short breaks service over 24 hours.
Salary £24,796 – £25,185 per annum. Permanent, 30 hours per week. This role is not open to international sponsorship.
We need enthusiastic, motivated, flexible people to provide overnight support (9:30 pm – 7:30 am) for individuals with learning disabilities and complex behaviour needs.
You will implement night‑time support plans and other agreed activities, attend training, supervision and team meetings during daytime working hours, and be supported by an experienced management team.
Key accountabilities:
* Provide person‑centred support to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Support people with dignity and respect to meet their day‑to‑day needs.
* Work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service‑specific policies and practice guidelines.
Skills and experience:
* Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential.
* NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment is required; if not, completion of QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within the first two years of employment will be required.
* Care Certificate training is provided and is funded by the Service.
