Our client has been established for over 20 years and are looking for a talented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. With the Finance Director working there for 19 years it is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain knowledge as well as developing their skills further.
What you will be doing :
* Assisting the Financial Controller with the Management Accounts
* Assisting with the invoice processing and purchase ledger administration
* Using Excel spreadsheets to help with month end accounting, updating monthly sales data and calculations of sales commissions
* Monthly cost accounting, ensuring this is up to date
* Checking sales orders and invoices before they are sent out
* Accounts preparation and stock control analysis
* Credit Card analysis and monthly VAT
* Dealing and resolving queries
* Other ad hoc duties
What you will have:
* Experience within a similar role
* Minimum qualification of level 3 AAT or part qualified ACCA/CIMA
* Strong Excel knowledge - including V look ups and Pivot tables
* Team player
* Wanting to learn and help grow the business
