We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Washington on a long- or short-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining a warm, inclusive primary school with a strong focus on wellbeing and community. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported and encouraged to achieve their best.

Teaching Assistant – Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, adapting to individual learning needs
2. Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions
3. Working alongside the class teacher to support lesson delivery and prepare resources
4. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
Requirements or Skills for a Teaching Assistant:
5. A Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent), or currently training to become a teacher
6. Recent experience working in a primary school or education setting
7. Good understanding of early learning, phonics, and/or the KS1/KS2 curriculum
8. Strong numeracy and literacy skills
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from the class teacher
10. A proactive, positive approach with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development
