We’re a family-owned business with ambitious growth plans. Currently employing over 700 people, we pride ourselves on building beautiful, quality, purpose-built one and two-bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those seeking an independent lifestyle in later life. Our developments are designed to provide security, peace of mind, and independence, removing the hassle and fears often associated with aging.
We have been recognized with numerous awards, including being named by The Sunday Times as the 3rd Best Company to Work for in the UK and being the first retirement living specialist to be crowned overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards 2016.
About the role
We’re seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee our development in Tonbridge, Kent, in the South East Region.
You will support the Site Manager throughout the construction cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met and the development adheres to Company and NHBC standards, using specified drawings and instructions.
Based on site and reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll manage health and safety issues, trades and material coordination, site presentation, and cost control, playing a key role in the success of Churchill Retirement Living’s developments.
Working hours are from 7.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
About you
You will have relevant experience in building residential apartments and new homes, be a qualified First Aider at Work, and possibly have a trade background.
You must hold a CSCS Card and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme.
You should be assertive, calm under pressure, and capable of liaising with external suppliers, specialists, and internal teams to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Influencing skills are essential.
A valid UK driver’s license is required in case assistance is needed at another site.
How you’ll be rewarded
* Company car or cash allowance
* Annual holiday of 24 days plus Bank Holidays
* Day off on your birthday
* Life assurance
* Health screening
* John Lewis vouchers (£200 for expectant parents)
* Paid training courses and professional memberships
* Well-being initiatives and ambassadors
