Monday to Friday | 8:45am – 5:15pm
£30,000 – £36,000 depending on experience
Talent Guardian are delighted to be supporting a well-established, family-run business with the recruitment of a Finance & Bookkeeping Assistant.
Our client is known for delivering exceptional customer services to their client base. With an excellent reputation and a loyal customer base, they are now looking to strengthen their finance team with an organised and proactive individual.
The Role
This is a varied finance support role where you will play an important part in keeping day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. Working closely with the wider team, you will manage transactional finance processes while supporting improvements to internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Posting supplier invoices on a daily basis
• Matching incoming and outgoing bank payments
• Preparing the weekly payment run
• Issuing quarterly service invoices
• Issuing monthly milk sales invoices
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Raising invoices and credit notes for product sales, service callouts and contracts
• Maintaining pricing templates for field sales teams
• Analysing price changes against sales prices
• Maintaining consumables price lists within Sage
• Managing credit control
• Supporting the modernisation of the service invoicing process
• Overseeing company mobile phones and data SIM cards

About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
• A minimum AAT Level 2 qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role
• Strong numeracy and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience using Sage and confidence working with different software systems
• A proactive and positive approach to work
• The ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
