Come and join us during a truly exciting time and be part of something special as we open an important new Supported Living service in Bristol. Help us in our mission to see the people with learning disabilities and/or autism needs that we support live their best life.

Please note - it is an essential requirement of this role to have a full, clean driving licence and to be able to drive the manual service vehicle.

Graeme Close is an innovative supported living service that opened in the popular Fishponds area in March 2024. The newly refurbished development provides a structured and welcoming environment that is designed to give people with a learning disability and/or autism the space and support they need to build up the skills, confidence and independence needed to flourish and transition into a more permanent setting.

Whether you’re new to care or have worked in support work roles throughout your career, for us it is about you as an individual and whether you share our values - we can support you to learn the rest!

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

* Encouraging positive self-image and maintaining health and wellbeing.
* Assisting with decision-making and promoting independence.
* Supporting people to develop and maintain contact with family and friends.
* Providing access to the community, enabling the people we support to participate in sports clubs, social events and creative endeavours.

The successful Support Worker will:

* Have excellent communication skills.
* Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature.
* Be committed to delivering high quality care to the individuals.
* Work well as part of a team but also independently.
* Be proactive and use your own initiative to problem solve.

We are looking for people who are able to work flexibly over 7 days with a variety of different shifts including waking nights and sleep ins.

At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:

* 30 days annual leave entitlement.
* Company pension scheme, with Milestones matching employee contributions up to 3% to help grow your retirement pot.
* Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications.
* Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of £695 cash back for health treatments e.g. dental, therapies, optical, maternity/paternity, NHS prescriptions etc.
* Generous Occupational Maternity/Paternity pay.
* Get paid when you want – access your money as you earn it and request your earnings before payday using Dayforce Wallet.
* Access to an Employee Discount Platform from day one, with discounts and cashback for hundreds of retailers.
* An employee referral scheme that allows you to earn points that can be converted to cash for family members or friends that you refer to Milestones.
