As a Property Maintenance Officer, you will support the Property Preparation Officer in ensuring that families resettling from conflict-affected regions have suitable housing. Your role is crucial in preparing properties by assembling furniture, transporting items, painting, decorating, maintaining gardens, and possibly repairing household items. This position requires practical facilities and building knowledge, coupled with strong customer service skills. The role involves significant physical activity and exposure to various environmental conditions. You will be required to travel across West Sussex, with a vehicle provided, and must effectively communicate in English with the public. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Property Preparation Officer to prepare housing for resettled families. Assemble and transport furniture to designated locations. Perform painting, decorating, and maintenance of exterior gardens. Conduct repairs on household items as needed. Engage in physical tasks and manage environmental challenges.
