You will ensure proposals are technically robust, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead and coordinate tendering activities across multiple stakeholders, delivering accurate and compliant bids on time.
*
Work closely with Sales Managers and Engineering colleagues to develop customer-focused proposals, particularly for turbine upgrades, control systems, and carbon reduction projects.
*
Support pricing strategy and go-to-market planning for the Service Line.
*
Manage a high volume of tenders (500+ annually), prioritising effectively without compromising quality.
*
Own the proposal process – gathering technical input, financial data, and shaping submissions into clear value propositions.
*
Ensure strong communication between sales, engineering, finance, and commercial teams to align on content and strategy.
*
Drive continuous improvement of bid processes, tools, and reporting.
*
Act as a primary contact for external customers during tendering stages.
Candidate Profile
*
Proven experience as a Bid Manager / Tender Manager in a technical, engineering-led environment.
*
Ability to translate complex engineering input into clear, compelling proposals.
*
Strong commercial, contractual, and financial knowledge.
*
Degree-qualified in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
*
Knowledge of gas turbines or energy industry projects (highly desirable).
*
Strong project management skills – organised, deadline-focused, and detail-driven.
*
Confident communicator, experienced in working across sales, engineering, and external clients.
*
Familiarity with Salesforce and MS Office is advantageous.
