SHIFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – HGV TechnicianCommercial Vehicle TeamAn opportunity has arisen to recruit a Shift Maintenance Engineer within the Engineering Department to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance in the servicing and repair of the HGV, commercial vehicles and forklift truck fleet.Key RequirementsThe suitable applicant should meet the following criteria as a minimum:Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc) or ONC in Mechanical Engineering or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)Driving and plant and equipment licences requiredFull UK Driving LicenseHolding a relevant vehicle electrical qualification will be a distinct advantage Successful applicants will be required to attain a NVQ Level 2 in Electrical MaintenanceWho are we looking for?Some of the personal attributes required for the position are:Experience of heavy plant and machinery in a heavy industrial environmentMust be willing to multi-skill in mechanical and electrical engineeringSelf-motivation and the ability to work unsupervisedThe ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesEnthusiasm and flexibility in all tasks undertakenThe ability to analyse and diagnose complex faults from limited data and historyBe able to organise work effectively and complete in the required time frame The position will involve shift working, including weekends and on call.
