As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and precise assembly and testing of advanced wireline equipment, including winches and masts, supporting critical operations in the energy sector. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production standards, continuous improvement, and safe working practices within a collaborative workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
8. Assemble and test mechanical and hydraulic equipment in line with engineering drawings and specifications
9. Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials
10. Maintain cleanliness and integrity of hydraulic systems during assembly
11. Inspect materials and components to detect defects or faults
12. Ensure all work meets required quality standards (“right first time”)
13. Follow all HSE procedures and proactively stop unsafe work where necessary
Additional Responsibilities
14. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN / 5S)
15. Support and collaborate with team members to improve overall performance
16. Participate in daily team briefings and highlight potential risks or issues
17. Report technical or design issues through engineering systems
18. Support new product introduction and process improvements
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
19. Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
20. Proven experience in a mechanical or assembly-based environment
21. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
22. Proven ability to safely operate hand and power tools
23. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Desired
24. Proven experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment
25. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated best practices
26. Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
27. Higher education in a relevant field
