Salary: £44,369 p.a. (75% of the top rate at Band 7, rising up the Annex 21 trainee scale until qualification; qualified rate is Band 7 £50,861 - £59,159 p.a.)
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The main role for the Health Visitor (HV) is to be the designated named HV for all children within their caseload from antenatal to school entry age, excluding the unborn child. This involves initiating the child's planning process. The HV is responsible for monitoring the child's wellbeing and assessing if needs are identified. They will work in partnership with the child's family and all involved agencies to produce and monitor a child's plan.
The postholder is responsible and accountable for maintaining clinical, staff, and information governance.

Requirements
Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and registration on Part 3 of the NMC register.
Masters level education in a relevant nursing area, or equivalent knowledge demonstrated through NES modules on Assessment, Leadership, and Critical Thinking.
