Join Mitie’s MEP South Team and lead the delivery of high-quality electrical projects across the region.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Contract Manager to take ownership of multiple building services projects, from traditional installations to Design & Build schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within the UK leading facilities management business, known for its commitment to safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical projects from pre-construction through to final handover.
* Manage project planning, resourcing, budgeting, and scheduling.
* Conduct site visits, client meetings, surveys, and inspections (some travel and overnight stays required).
* Provide leadership and support to project teams, ensuring high performance and development.
* Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers for cost-effective delivery.
* Maintain strong client relationships and resolve any issues or disputes.
* Prepare and present Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports to senior management.
* Collaborate with Design, Estimating, and Subcontract teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards (IEE, NICEIC, JCT, NEC).
* Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and compliance registers.
* Identify opportunities for additional works and revenue growth.
✅ What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (essential).
* HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (preferred).
* Proven experience in a similar role (Contract Manager or Project Manager).
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and CDM Regulations.
* Commercially aware with solid financial and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and client relationship management.
* Ability to lead teams and deliver under pressure.
