Senior Building Surveyor - Liverpool

We are looking to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the team working out of our Liverpool office and assist with providing a high-quality service to our clients throughout the North West of England. Responsibilities
Building Surveys including defect analysis / pathology and remedial works
Undertake measured surveys and production of layout and detailed design drawings
Prepare schedules of works, specifications and tender documentation
Understand and apply Planning Permission and Building Regulations requirements and advise clients accordingly
Prepare and submit Statutory Applications for consent to Local Authority planning and building control departments, fire officers, licensing justices, freeholders etc. as applicable

Confidently fulfil the role of Contract Administrator (CA)
Project Management /Coordination, typically as the CA, on a number of projects simultaneously, prioritising workload to suit the demands of each
Sound understanding and practical experience of CDM Regulations and being able to advise colleagues and clients
Managing and updating project documents in strict adherence with Arcus QA procedures
Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders for business marketing
Monitor the marketplace in respect of information technology/systems/software, which may be of benefit to the Practice, and to advise accordingly
Low-mid level management responsibilities within the team for managing junior staff and making your own informed decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Be an MRICS qualified Chartered Building Surveyor with an accredited degree in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline.
Have at least 2 years post qualification experience of the role involving building surveying / design / contract procedures.
Have sound understanding and practical experience administering Construction Contracts including; JCT, NEC, PPC
Have good knowledge and competence in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.) and AutoCAD
Have strong report writing skills; tender, feasibility and defect etc.
Have experience of working in both the Housing and Public Sectors advantageous
Have previous experience of supervising and managing colleagues
