Full-Time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract
We are currently recruiting for three Carecall Officers to join our Independent Living Carecall Team in Stockport. This is a full-time, fixed-term role, working an average of 37 hours per week on a rota basis.
As a Carecall Officer, you will be part of a vital service that supports over 5,000 customers across Stockport. The Carecall service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing a 24-hour telephone monitoring system and a TSA-accredited Falls Response Service. You will play a key role in helping customers remain safe and independent in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include responding to emergency alarm calls, attending customers’ homes to assist those who have experienced a fall, and providing a safe and supportive lifting service. You will also carry out basic repairs to monitoring equipment, install new devices, and promote the full range of technology available to support independent living.
This role requires flexibility, as you will work on a rotating shift pattern that includes day shifts, night shifts, and weekends. You must be comfortable working alone at times and with different colleagues across shifts to ensure continuous service delivery.
We are looking for someone who is caring, empathetic, and able to build trust with customers. You should be highly organised, able to follow procedures independently, and confident using IT systems. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
