Wood in Staines is recruiting for a Lead/Principal Planner to join our team on an agency basis (outside IR35) for an initial 12 month basis. This is a key role in supporting the delivery of front-end engineering design (FEED) and EPCIC schedule development for a project in the Danish sector of the North Sea. The project includes a new greenfield topsides and brownfield modifications to existing facilities. The successful candidate will have experience of working with multi-discipline engineering teams and leading all planning and progress reporting activities associated with delivering FEED for offshore greenfield and brownfield production and processing facilities. t ReviewsDevelop and maintain the Level 3 FEED Schedule in Primavera P6 in accordance with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Maintain and progress the baseline project schedule Monitor and control all planning activities Liaise with engineering and procurement functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements Analyse and prepare copies of the project FEED Schedule in accordance with project reporting requirements Analyse and prepare copies of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements. Review and analyse updates to project manpower requirements Assess and communicate the impact of change notifications on project schedules Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedules Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions to develop an EPCIC schedule to support tendering for the EPCIC phase Participate in schedule risk analysis (where required) Practical applied experience in planning and scheduling Proven experience in the use of Primavera P6 planning software Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases Team player with a willingness to share ideas with multi-disciplinary team members Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Good numerical, analytical and literacy skills with a strong attention to detail Possess good planning and organisational skills and be accustomed to meeting tight deadlines
