Junior Controls Engineer

Rise10 Recruitment are partnering with a leading industrial automation and control systems integrator. They design, build, and commission bespoke control panels and automation systems across manufacturing and process industries. They are seeking a Junior Controls Engineer to join their team and gain hands-on experience in panel testing, commissioning, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement PLC programs and HMI/SCADA screens
* Prepare and maintain panel documentation, FAT/SAT test records, and as-built updates
* Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on-site commissioning (SAT)
* Troubleshoot, support, and modify control panels and systems
* Assist with continuous improvement of templates, procedures, and documentation
About You
* Experience with control panel wiring, testing, and commissioning would be beneficial but not essential
* Able to read electrical schematics and control drawings
* Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and drives (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
* Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
* Desirable: AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN, FAT/SAT documentation experience, knowledge of instrumentation and industrial networking
