Business Development Manager Commercial Services Location: Weston-super-Mare | Salary: £34,000£36,000 DOE performance bonus & company van | Contract: Permanent | Hours: MonFri, 40 hrs/week A leading environmental services company in North Somerset is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and manage key accounts for their expanding commercial services, including waste collection contracts. This is a hands-on role with field sales across North Somerset and occasionally the South West, with the opportunity to progress into a more strategic sales and marketing position. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive retention and growth. Generate new business through proactive lead generation and a structured sales pipeline. Negotiate service agreements and annual pricing reviews. Work closely with operations to ensure contracts are delivered to SLA. Monitor market trends and provide insights to support strategic decisions. Candidate Requirements: Proven success in a direct sales role, ideally in waste management, recycling, or logistics. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. IT literate with digital/social media skills for sales and brand promotion. Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
