IMS & Improvement Lead

Clarke are a growing specialist construction business based in Ballymena with a portfolio of work that reaches all over the UK and Ireland.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IMS & Improvement Lead to support the business in ensuring continued compliance with ISO standards across our office, site, and factory operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing, maintaining, monitoring, and improving our integrated management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards

About The Role

Role Summary

* Support the business in maintaining compliance with all ISO standards and company policies.
* Obtain and maintain compliance to other third party audit requirements such as Achilles / Constructionline as required.
* Conduct and report on internal audits across office, site, and factory locations.
* Play a leading role in external audits, liaising with auditors and coordinating audit activities to ensure successful outcomes.
* Maintain and update IMS documentation, procedures, and records.
* Track and monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely close-out.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support their implementation.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across all departments to promote a culture of compliance and shared accountability.
* Provide advice, support, and training to staff on IMS processes and compliance requirements.
* Stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation, standards, and best practice, ensuring the company remains compliant.
* Support the development and delivery of compliance performance reports and key metrics for management review.
* Champion the company’s commitment to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements to drive operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement across all functions.

Required Criteria

* Experience in maintaining and improving an IMS.
* IMS Internal Auditing Qualification (CQI, IRCA, BSI or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Effective communication, problem solving and teamwork abilities


Desired Criteria

* Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Quality, or Environmental Management
* Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is desirable
* Previous experience with Constructionline, Achilles and/or Considerate Contractor Scheme is desirable.
