Join a cutting-edge engineering team as a Production Technician Engineer, where precision meets innovation. You’ll work hands-on with advanced electronic and mechanical systems, tackling technically challenging builds in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.If you thrive on complex assembly, exacting standards, and high-spec bespoke equipment, this role puts you at the heart of every stage, from early development to full-scale production and long-term product support! Ensuring every build is flawless, on time, and to the highest quality. The Role Reporting into senior operational leadership, you’ll play a key role across both development and production activities, supporting products throughout their entire lifecycle. From new product introduction to established production builds, your contribution will directly impact quality, reliability, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesComplex Assembly & Build

* Carry out advanced electronic and mechanical assembly on complex systems.
* Build complete units using detailed drawings, job cards, and technical instructions.
* Accurately interpret wiring schematics, engineering drawings, test procedures, and process documentation.
* Manufacture wiring looms and cable assemblies to defined dimensional and visual standards.
* Perform high-quality soldering to recognised IPC requirements (e.g. wire-to-wire, wire-to-terminal).

Quality & Inspection

* Inspect parts and sub-assemblies against defined tolerances and specifications.
* Identify and address defects during and prior to assembly.
* Work in line with IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards (Class 3 experience beneficial).
* Carry out basic calibration checks on torque tools and crimping equipment.

Production & Operational Support

* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and early prototype builds.
* Prepare kits of parts, tooling, and materials to support efficient assembly.
* Ensure tools and equipment remain serviceable, calibrated, and fit for use.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities and waste reduction initiatives.
* Assist with wider operational tasks when required, including goods-in, stock handling, and facility support.

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Ensure all tasks are completed in line with quality standards and health & safety requirements.

About You

* At least 5 years’ experience in a technical production, manufacturing, or advanced assembly role.
* Strong background in both electronic and mechanical assembly.
* Confident working from complex drawing packs and technical documentation.
* Experience with surface mount assembly and IPC certification (Class 3 desirable).
* Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
* Mechanically minded with confident use of hand tools and test equipment.
* Experience building, repairing, or modifying electronic systems.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new internal systems.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently.
* Eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
