Interim Corporate M&A Legal Counsel
c.3–5 years’ PQE
3–6 Month Contract
London | Hybrid Working
We are currently working on an excellent interim opportunity with a highly regarded global financial services business seeking an experienced Corporate M&A lawyer to join the legal team on an initial 3–6 month basis.
This is a genuinely high-calibre environment with an exceptionally strong legal and leadership team, offering exposure to complex strategic transactions, senior stakeholders and international deal activity within a fast-paced and commercially sophisticated business.
The role would suit an England & Wales qualified lawyer with c.3–5 years’ PQE who has trained and qualified within a recognised corporate/M&A practice before either remaining in private practice or moving in-house.
Key areas of focus include:
• Supporting on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documentation including SPAs, investment agreements and ancillary documents
• Assisting with corporate structuring, governance and post-deal integration matters
• Advising senior business stakeholders on strategic projects and transaction risk
• Working closely with external counsel and internal commercial teams across multiple jurisdictions
The business is looking for someone who can operate with a high level of autonomy whilst still enjoying being embedded within a collaborative and ambitious legal function.
Experience within financial services, investment banking, trading, fintech or broader regulated environments would be advantageous, although strong corporate/M&A lawyers from leading private practice teams are also encouraged to apply.
