Role Overview
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for driving innovation, efficiency, and mentorship within the FP&A team. This role manages budget and capital expenditure processes, develops financial projections, supports business goals through analysis, and leads process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
1. Develop performance metrics in collaboration with Business and Data analytics teams; communicate financial reports and address queries from the parent company.
2. Manage the budget and forecast reporting processes and communication with the parent company.
3. Lead initiatives to improve business performance using data analysis and key performance indicators.
4. Foster a culture of collaboration and partnership across Finance and customer-facing functions.
5. Clearly communicate financial concepts to influence decision-making.
6. Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, supporting their growth and leadership potential.
7. Maintain an effective internal controls environment, working with the VP of FP&A on policies and risk management.
8. Develop and maintain short and long-term forecasts, assessing risks and opportunities.
9. Monitor financial indicators to identify trends and mitigate risks promptly.
10. Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization within the team.
11. Collaborate with IT to enhance analytical processes.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* MBA preferred
* 10+ years of financial analysis and leadership experience
* Strong leadership, organizational, and change management skills
* Excellent analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills
* High-level technical accounting and advanced Excel skills
