Are you a remediation professional who enjoys being out on site and playing a hands-on role in project delivery? An established environmental consultancy is looking to bring in a Remediation Engineer to support the delivery of remediation works across a range of UK sites.
This role would suit somebody that is practical and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, supporting technical teams with both field and office-based tasks.
The Role
As a Remediation Engineer, you will support the planning and execution of remediation projects, working closely with senior technical staff, site managers and project managers. You'll be involved in a variety of site-based activities including environmental sampling, data collection and supporting site operations, as well as contributing to reporting and project coordination. You'll also assist with compliance activities and liaise with stakeholders on site where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting remediation projects through site-based and office-based activities
* Undertaking environmental sampling and logging soils on site
* Collecting and reporting site data
* Assisting with site operations, health & safety and compliance requirements
* Liaising with site visitors and stakeholders as required
* Supporting senior technical staff and project teams with day-to-day project delivery
Requirements
* Around 3+ years' experience within remediation or a related field
* Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working on site and travelling as required
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Relevant academic qualification
* Awareness of environmental permitting or remediation processes
* CSCS and/or Asbestos Awareness
