Our client is expanding and is looking for a talented 3D Technical Designer with SketchUp experience to join their Projects team at their Farnborough headquarters. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for an ambitious, confident self-starter eager to be part of a growing creative company.
As a 3D Technical Designer, you will collaborate with Project Managers to create stunning exhibition displays. You will produce 3D technical drawings, 2D schematics, and cut files to ensure flawless delivery of displays, working from designs provided by the Creative and Sales teams.
Every project presents new challenges, making this a dynamic role for someone passionate about design and problem-solving.
Responsibilities include:
* Interpreting 3D renders and briefs into T3 Framework (training provided)
* Creating artwork templates for print production
* Developing construction drawings for effective stand assembly
* Producing 2D schematics and cut files for fabrication
* Preparing accurate parts lists
* Ensuring timely delivery of project milestones in collaboration with Project Managers
* Supporting production with CAD drawings for manufacturing
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience with 3D CAD software, especially SketchUp (beneficial but not mandatory)
* Strong technical knowledge of construction and substrates
* Draftsmanship and 2D CAD experience
* Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
* Initiative and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively within a team
* Experience in the Exhibition industry is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
