Process Improvement Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you a seasoned Process Improvement Engineer who can read and interpret mechanical drawings and work across all areas of design and production to make recommendations change? We can offer a varied and interesting role in a niche automotive engineering environment in the heart of the Devon countryside. This role will be predominantly office based, utilizing your CAD, data and continuous improvement knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
To plan, direct and coordinate the design, manufacture and modification of production within the internal and external Supply Chain while monitoring performance and implementing continuous improvement incentives.
Design and review models and drawings using 3D CAD to provide clear production instructions and improvements to the operations department.
Complete all associated administration of the end to end process of drawing release in order to implement best practice and continuous improvement.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by making recommendations over the removal of waste from the processes.
Skills Required :
Proven capability of creating detailed 3d models and accurate engineering drawings of components and assemblies.
Experienced within Process Improvement or Continuous Improvement within an engineering environment.
Good communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers.
Good report writing and project information recording.
Minimum of HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
