Lighting Technician / Witham, Essex (CM8) / £30,000 to £35,000 Per Annum D.O.E. + Benefits
Our client specialises in designing, installing, operating and maintaining professional lighting and technical systems for entertainment venues, holiday destinations, hotels and theatres. They take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality solutions and in making complex lighting systems easy to understand and operate.
They're now looking for a Lighting Technician to support their projects across the UK. The role will involve a mix of installation, maintenance, and operational support, working both independently and as part of a wider technical team.
Key Responsibilities of the Lighting Technician:
* Install, maintain and operate professional lighting systems with travel to client sites as required.
* Supporting lighting installations from planning through testing and client handover
* Programming and operating lighting control systems where required
* Assisting with live events and productions when needed
* Working closely with colleagues and clients to meet technical requirements
* Completing clear, accurate documentation and handovers
Skills and Experience required:
* Proven experience working as a Lighting Technician in theatre, entertainment venues, or technical installations
* Confident with industry-standard lighting equipment and control systems
* Practical understanding of power distribution, DMX/data networks and fault-finding
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently on solo tasks
* Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
* Flexible, solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to high standards
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable (Not Essential):
* Experience with architectural or installed lighting systems
* Basic knowledge of sound or AV systems
* Rigging and working-at-height experience
* Relevant industry qualifications or training
