We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in York. The child is in Year 3 but is working at lower KS1 ability. They are looking for a nurturing TA who is good at building relationships quickly.
About the Role:

Support a pupil with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support and interventions.
*
Help create inclusive, nurturing learning environments where every child can thrive.
What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or youth settings).
*
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, school hours (term-time only)
Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
*
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
*
Right to work in the UK
