TIG Welder / Fabricator
Salary: £15–£17 per hour
We are currently recruiting an experienced TIG Welder to join our client’s established engineering and fabrication team. This role is ideal for a skilled fabricator with a strong background in stainless steel fabrication, pipework, and sheet metal. You will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of pressure vessels, process vessels, and associated components, working to high-quality engineering standards.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate, excellent working conditions, and a highly desirable 4-day working week.
Working Hours
37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday (days)
Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week, with the option to work overtime on Fridays at time and a half
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and TIG weld stainless steel components, vessels, and structures in line with engineering drawings and specifications
Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel materials
Manufacture, install, and weld pipework systems, including both orbital and manual welding across various diameters and wall thicknesses
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometric sketches, and technical documentation
Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotines, rollers, press brakes, and cutting machinery
Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and weld integrity, maintaining high quality standards
Skills & Experience Required
Previous fabrication and welding experience within an industrial or engineering environment
Proven experience working with stainless steel, sheet metal, and pipework
Strong proficiency in TIG welding techniques
Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and tolerances
Experience using fabrication tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently
