Secondary Teaching Assistant - Burnley Schools

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? Veritas Education is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
We have flexible opportunities available, including:
* Day-to-day supply (perfect for flexibility and varied experience)
* Short-term roles (covering staff absence or specific projects)
* Long-term placements (with the potential to become permanent)
The Role:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Work 1:1 or with small groups of students to support learning
* Assist students with additional needs, including SEN where required
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
* Provide feedback to teachers on student progress
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people (school or similar setting preferred)
* A passion for education and supporting student development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt to different schools and classroom environments
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
